Financial Manager

Smartbox Assistive Technology is seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for developing and delivering an annual finance work plan that aligns with our reporting and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver an annual finance work plan that aligns with our reporting and business requirements.
- Develop relevant policies and procedures, and develop tools, guidance, and training for budget holders.
- Improve the month-end reporting process, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare annual budgets and future business planning, including liaison with budget holders and business analytics.
- Hold regular meetings with budget holders to support financial management.
- Prepare monthly management information, budget, and cash flow forecasts, and other reports and KPIs.
- Develop and deliver the annual year-end accounts closedown timetable.
- Lead the liaison with external auditors to ensure the year-end audit is delivered to deadlines.
- Line manage members of the Finance team, helping team members to identify and develop opportunities to grow their skills and knowledge.
- Qualified or Finalist, preferably ACA/ACCA.
- Demonstrated experience in team management.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Positive, inquisitive, and empathetic, with keen attention to detail and a commitment to results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- A people-oriented individual with a drive to mentor and foster team growth.
