Job Title: Financial Manager

Smartbox Assistive Technology Inc is a leading company in the field of assistive technology, creating innovative products that give a voice to people who don't have speech. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team in Malvern and Bristol.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver an annual finance work plan that aligns with reporting and business requirements.
  • Develop relevant policies and procedures, and provide tools, guidance, and training for budget holders.
  • Improve the month-end reporting process, including balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare annual budgets and future business planning, including liaison with budget holders and business analytics.
  • Develop a robust budget monitoring timetable and core processes to ensure regular review of performance with budget holders.
  • Hold regular meetings with budget holders as a business partner to support financial management.
  • Develop and deliver the annual year-end accounts closedown timetable.
  • Prepare the annual statutory disclosures alongside the Director of Finance.
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure the year-end audit is delivered to deadlines, including resolving queries promptly and coordinating the finance team to provide audit samples as per the agreed timeframes.
  • Line manage members of the Finance team, helping team members to identify and develop opportunities to grow their skills and knowledge in line with wider company objectives.
Requirements:
  • Qualified or Finalist, preferably ACA/ACCA.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
