Job Summary

Dot Recruit is seeking a highly motivated and analytical finance professional to join our Commercial Finance team as a Commercial Finance Expert. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our retail, commercial, digital, and operational teams to improve their performance.

About the Role

As a Commercial Finance Expert, you will be responsible for analysing trading performance against financial and non-financial KPIs, identifying key drivers and trends, and providing detailed insights and actionable recommendations to guide business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify areas of improvement and provide data-driven insights to support business decisions.
  • Business Partnership: Build strong relationships with stakeholders across various business areas, providing financial modelling and analysis to support business cases and initiatives.
  • Reporting and Dashboards: Design and own a suite of dashboards and reporting tools to present insights clearly and concisely, using tools such as Tableau.
  • Value-Added Analysis: Provide value-added analysis to help stakeholders understand performance and take action to maximize future profitability.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Part qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in a commercial role or a strong desire to pursue a career in commercial finance.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and data analysis skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communication: The ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to senior management.
  • Technical Expertise: Confident use of tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and BI software (like Tableau).
  • Confidence to Challenge: Someone who can confidently challenge the business to meet ambitious growth targets.
