The Opportunity

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott's Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry-leading technologies. Our in-vitro Diagnostic Assay manufacturing site in Dundee has an exciting opportunity for a Labelling Officer to join the Dundee Labelling department and contribute to our mission of safely ensuring the on-time delivery of production labels that conform to current best practices and Quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect new labelling matter, including label designs, IFUs, and artwork, to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Complete quality documentation as per GMP requirements, ensuring compliance and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Operate labelling equipment, maintaining optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Actively seek out and contribute to continuous improvements activities, driving process enhancements and cost savings.
  • Accurately control labelling stock, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing waste.
  • Maintain and monitor labelling equipment, including printers and cameras, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with the Abbott Dundee Health & Safety culture, prioritizing employee well-being and safety.

Required Qualifications and Profile

  • Knowledge of labelling programs and associated software, ensuring version control and data integrity.
  • Knowledge of GMP Processes and procedures, ensuring compliance and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Nat 4 or equivalent in English, maths, or equivalent experience to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining labelling equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of fault finding on various types of equipment, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing downtime.
  • Experience in using ERP systems for labelling stock controls, ensuring accurate tracking and timely delivery.
  • Driven and committed to meet customer performance and delivery, prioritizing quality and timeliness.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a wide audience, accepting and following up on views and opinions of others.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of labelling operations.
