Position Overview

Opportunity Summary:

This pivotal role, reporting to the Head of International Employee Relations, involves overseeing all employee relations (ER) matters within the UK and select international regions while contributing to strategic initiatives.

The successful candidate will act as a consultant for a leading global pharmaceutical organization, focusing on delivering expert Employee Relations support. Responsibilities include managing intricate employee relations challenges, performance management, conducting workplace investigations, and handling critical incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

The individual in this position will be recognized as a subject matter expert in various ER domains, including:

  • Performance management
  • Internal investigations
  • Disciplinary actions and terminations
  • Severance processes
  • Redundancy and consultation procedures

Providing guidance and assistance to employees, managers, and HR colleagues is essential, along with addressing and investigating complaints related to complex employment issues. This role will work closely with the senior Employee Relations management team and liaise with both internal and external legal advisors.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • CIPD qualified with 3-5 years of relevant experience in Employee Relations
  • Proficient in employment law with a background in handling ER cases in dynamic, multi-site environments across the UK and Europe
  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial capabilities, with the ability to collaborate and influence at all organizational levels
  • Experience in operational settings, showcasing strategic thinking and solution-oriented approaches while exercising discretion and independent judgment in advising on sensitive ER matters
