About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative professional to join our Social and Human Value group as a Graduate Social Value Consultant. This is a fantastic career opportunity to broaden the reach of our consultancy and strengthen our existing social and human value team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help organizations understand the concept of Social Value and develop strategies to progress in their journey.
  • Advise and shape Social Value objectives, targets, KPIs, and improvement plans for developers and investors in the built environment.
  • Research and analyze the latest Social Value trends, market drivers, best practices, and benchmarks for social value performance in the built environment.
  • Prepare Social Value reporting aligning to standards and frameworks, while working beyond these frameworks to maximize the social impact of projects.
  • Analyze and present data to inform strategic definition and plans.
  • Communicate and engage with various stakeholders, including communities, developers, and investors.
  • Develop Social Value strategies for clients operating in the built environment.
  • Lead on community engagement activities and help shape and develop Hoare Lea's Social and Human Value service offering.
Requirements
  • Experience in social impact reporting, social value, and social science research.
  • Understanding of the built environment and its impacts on people and communities.
  • Experience working with communities and community engagement.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Passion for building future spaces and places that reduce marginalization and enhance community cohesion.
  • Autonomous and proactive person with the ability to work efficiently under minimum supervision.
  • Experience or awareness of fields such as sustainable development, psychology, urban planning, sociology, human geography, social science, or sustainable finance.
