About the Role

Azenta Life Sciences is a leading provider of robotic compound management and biological sample storage systems.

The Controls Engineer / Automation Development Engineer will work within a cross-functional team on new product development and research and development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and integrate automation and robotics equipment into system solutions.
  • Conduct component-level to full system life cycle tests to assess function.
  • Provide technical support to Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Software departments.
  • Support quality investigations and create/maintain engineering documentation of test results.
  • Define processes and test procedures.
About the Team

The successful engineer will work under general supervision with assignments requiring a thorough and practical knowledge of the technical or business discipline.

May be assigned larger projects as part of product development or continuous improvement process.

Training will be provided for the right individual.

Occasional international site travel may be required for training, investigation, or support.

Requirements
  • Experience working within an automation industry or similar role.
  • Preferably servo motion control experience, but training will be provided.
  • Logical thinking and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness to learn and tackle new technologies.
  • Excellent PC skills and report writing skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
