Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Additional Resources Ltd. as an Agile DevOps Specialist. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our innovative global service platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with our agile team to design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient cloud-based infrastructure.
  2. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring consistency and reliability across our environments.
  3. Work closely with our development team to automate deployment processes, ensuring seamless integration with our CI/CD pipeline.
  4. Design and implement secure and maintainable cloud-hosted web applications using Ruby on Rails and Python.
  5. Contribute to the improvement of our DevOps culture, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  6. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing technical guidance and support as needed.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying your knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within our platform.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in cross-functional agile teams, with a strong background in cloud engineering and infrastructure automation.
  2. Expertise in Cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and Terraform, with a strong understanding of infrastructure as code.
  3. Strong programming skills in Python or Golang, with experience in building cloud-hosted web applications.
  4. Well-versed in modern agile practices, including code review, TDD, CI/CD, and pairing with tools like GitHub Actions.
  5. Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
  6. Considerate of operational, security, and legal factors in solution design, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  7. Understanding of maintainability in platform and infrastructure architecture.
