Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at AF Blakemore - Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse and distribution centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performance Management: Achieve consistently high levels of 'On-Time In-Full' delivery of customer orders through efficient and safe operations.
- Operational Procedures: Deploy and develop operating procedures to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Leadership: Lead shift managers and team leaders to ensure staff are competent, well-managed, and motivated to perform at their best.
- Safety and Security: Maintain warehouse and site security, adhering to safety standards and reporting any incidents.
- Process Improvement: Apply the Blakemore Way in people management and review staff performance to develop competence and support succession planning.
- Compliance: Comply with legal and company policies for H&S, Environment, Employment, and Data Protection.
- Business Development: Support the overall development of the DC in areas such as operating budgets, cost management, KPIs, etc.
Requirements:
- Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction to the warehouse team.
- People Management: Effective people management, including team building, motivating, coaching, and performance management.
- Process Management: Embed new processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Problem-Solving: Use own initiative to solve problems and improve processes.
- Organisation and Planning: Prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Proactive Management: Manage concerns proactively to prevent issues.
- KPIs and Performance: Use management information and KPIs to improve performance.
