About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our facilities team at Reed. This is a temporary role, working on a full-time basis for up to 6 months, paying £24.19 per hour PAYE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Sustainability Strategies
    • Identify and address areas for sustainability improvement
    • Prepare proposals, budgets, and reports on sustainability for review by senior management and stakeholders
  • Implement Sustainability Initiatives
    • Develop and implement organisational policies and practices to promote sustainability
    • Research EFM environmental sustainability issues and concerns, evaluating alternatives and determining proposed actions
  • Monitor and Evaluate Sustainability Performance
    • Develop methodologies to assess the viability or success of sustainability initiatives
    • Develop policies and procedures to monitor and evaluate effectiveness of sustainability programmes
  • Ensure Compliance with Environmental Regulations
    • Implement an ES programme to ensure compliance with environmental or governmental regulations
    • Develop sustainability reports, presentations, and employee guidance to implement change and compliance
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise ES initiatives across the organisation
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field
    • Experience in ES/HSE risk management and assurance, as well as environmental management
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven track record of sustainability strategy development and execution
    • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
    • Substantial experience in sustainability-related roles, including developing and implementing successful ES programs and initiatives
