About the Role

Kaplan International Languages is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Portfolio Leader to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the academic portfolio and driving excellence in teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of academic strategies to drive student success and excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement institutional strategies to drive academic excellence.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to academic teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning programs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with academic partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and innovation.
  • Monitor and evaluate academic performance and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong commitment to student-centred approaches to learning and teaching.
  • Experience of leading a project or initiative that has led to enhancements in a curriculum area(s).
  • Knowledge of the needs of international students.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience of leading and managing direct and indirect reports.
  • Resource allocation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyse data to make informed choices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a range of teams from diverse backgrounds.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent and preferably a UK Master's degree or higher.

Desirable

  • A teaching qualification.
  • Experience of studying / working / living outside of your home country.
