About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our team as a Band 5 Nursing Team Leader. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with Clinicians to review physical health needs of patients and develop strategies for healthcare delivery.
  2. Develop Services that meet patient needs by delivering an agreed strategy for healthcare.
  3. Work with Medical and Nursing Staff to ensure that the team is assessing and escalating patients in line with physical healthcare policy.
  4. Develop and Maintain Standard Operational Procedures for the clozapine clinic, ensuring the service is evidence-based and reflects recent research.
  5. Assist in Completing Audits to check compliance with policies and advise on action plans arising from findings.
  6. Support Students within the clinical areas in relation to physical healthcare, leading and supporting junior staff to deliver person-centred care.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Supervision skills to provide guidance and support to junior staff.
  • Ability to Formulate and Document a plan of nursing care in partnership with service users, carers, family, and friends.
  • Knowledge of Early Warning Signs (MEWS/NEWS) and ability to recognize service user health deterioration.
  • Safe Use of Medical Devices and implementation of safe and therapeutic observations policy levels.
  • Fire Warden and safeguarding responsibilities.
