About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist ASD Teacher to join our team at a highly regarded school in Norfolk. As a Specialist ASD Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners with autism spectrum disorder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a small class of twelve pupils with autism spectrum disorder, providing a supportive and structured learning environment.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the needs of students with ASD, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Lead and collaborate with 4 Teaching Assistants to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized classroom with accessible resources to support student learning.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members within the classroom and throughout the school.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, dynamic, and interactive lessons that cater to the needs of students with ASD.

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.
  • Recent experience in a mainstream or specialist primary school, particularly with ASD students.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
