Specialist ASD Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist ASD Teacher to join our team at a highly regarded school in Norfolk. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Role Overview

As a Specialist ASD Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a small class of twelve pupils with autism spectrum disorder. You will develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the needs of students with ASD, leading and collaborating with 4 Teaching Assistants to create a supportive and structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a small class of students with autism spectrum disorder.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the needs of students with ASD.
  • Lead and collaborate with Teaching Assistants to create a supportive and structured learning environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the curriculum and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized classroom with accessible resources to support student learning.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members within the classroom and throughout the school.
Requirements
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.
  • Recent experience in a mainstream or specialist primary school, particularly with ASD students.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
