Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Childcare Professional to join our team as an Assessor and Mentor for our T-LEVEL programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and guiding learners in the completion of their work-based assignments and exams, as well as facilitating professional discussions to ensure they meet NCFE criteria and national standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and grade learner work, providing constructive feedback and guidance
  • Facilitate professional discussions with learners to ensure they meet NCFE criteria and national standards
  • Work with the NCFE moderator during the exam window and meet with T-LEVEL tutors and the curriculum manager on a regular basis
  • Demonstrate knowledge of pastoral issues affecting young people, knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety
  • Experience of working with young people is essential

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of NCFE T-LEVEL programmes and assessment criteria
  • Experience of working with young people in a childcare or education setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • DBS clearance
