Environmental Sustainability Specialist

**About the Role**

Deploy UK Rail is seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join their team in the Glasgow area. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will play a key role in providing expert advice on environmental matters across the business.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Provide guidance on environmental regulations and sustainability practices
* Maintain and share a strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices
* Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards, such as NR015-L2-ENV-015
* Develop and review Environmental and Social Management Plans, Site Waste Management Plans and Incident Response Plans
* Review environmental management requirements
* Prepare consent applications and pre-application consultations
* Ensure accurate recording and availability of environmental data
* Design and deliver environmental training, including toolbox talks and specific training courses

**Requirements**

* Environmental qualification
* Previous experience as an Environmental Advisor within the railway, construction, highways or utilities industries
* Understanding of UK legislation governing environmental management
* Familiarity with Network Rail standards
* Member of IEMA
* Driving licence
