Exciting Opportunity for a Design Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Technician to join our team at The Recruitment Bar. As a Design Technician, you will play a crucial role in creating and completing Multi Utility quotes, adhering to company procedures to meet developer timelines and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Manage utility connection queries, plans, and studies (water, gas, electricity).
    • Review and revise quotes and technical drawings.
    • Conduct network studies and produce cost models.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (colleagues, developers, clients).
    • Attend client meetings and provide regular updates.
    • Review colleagues' work and offer constructive feedback.
  • Project Management & Administration:
    • Manage project timelines and priorities.
    • Track client progress and update information systems.
    • Perform general administrative tasks (filing, emails, calls).
    • Archive project documents electronically.
Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD - Essential.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office packages including Word and Excel.
  • A basic understanding of utilities is helpful, but full training will be provided.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • A team player who can also use initiative.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

This is an office-based position, Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00. We can only accept applications from candidates based in and around Northamptonshire, and the client is unable to provide any form of visa sponsorship.
