Design Technician

At Barratt Developments, we're seeking a skilled Design Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production and fitting departments.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce accurate material cutting lists for Group house-types requiring fitted wardrobes.
- Assist in the development of new product and design layouts for our marketing suite furniture and bedroom furniture.
- Provide technical support to our sales and installations teams to ensure Bedroom Furniture installations meet Barratt Group requirements.
- Produce technical cuttings lists and associated paperwork within required timescales.
- Provide a professional and efficient service for the installation of products to internal teams and Barratt Group teams.
- Share technical skills and processes with internal teams and take ownership of specific technical tasks/requirements.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or within a team.
- Experience in interpreting architectural/technical drawings and scaling off drawings would be beneficial.
- Experience in furniture design/manufacture and processing production orders would be beneficial.
- Experience in creating furniture layouts would be beneficial.
- Experience of using CAD or similar drawing packages would be beneficial.
