We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Web Developer to join our development team at Sampl Technologies. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in full stack development, with backend development using Laravel, PHP, and modern frontend technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Development:

  • Work on both front-end (React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery) and back-end (Laravel PHP) aspects of the web application, ensuring a cohesive and efficient development process.
  • Collaborate with our Product Designer to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
  • Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code following industry best practices.

Version Control and Collaboration

  • Use Git for version control, ensuring consistent and efficient collaboration with team members.
  • Manage code repositories, including branching, merging, and pull requests, ensuring code quality and consistency across the team.

Testing and Debugging

  • Perform thorough testing of applications, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, bug-free applications.

Cloud Services (AWS - Beneficial)

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is beneficial. Utilize cloud services to enhance the scalability, performance, and security of web applications.
  • Deploy and manage web applications on cloud platforms, ensuring reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of full stack web development experience, using PHP and modern frontend frameworks.
  • Front-End Proficiency: Strong proficiency in React or similar frameworks, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Back-End Proficiency: Strong proficiency in modern PHP and a solid understanding of server-side programming.
  • Version Control: Proficient in using Git for version control.
  • Cloud Services: Experience with AWS is a plus.
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues.
  • Attention to detail: Produce high quality user interfaces and consistent code quality.
  • Collaboration: Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with database management and design (we use MariaDB).
  • Experience in RESTful API development and integration.
  • Knowledge of other JavaScript frameworks or libraries (e.g., Angular).
