Position Overview

Type: Permanent

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm

Location: Abingdon

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitating the sourcing and ordering of both contract and non-contract items utilizing MRP reports and manual requisitions.
  • Engaging in negotiations to secure competitive pricing and ensuring supplier information is accurately maintained within the MRP system.
  • Evaluating supplier performance, implementing enhancement initiatives, and managing minimum inventory levels.
  • Modifying MRP parameters to guarantee timely material availability and suitable batch sizes.
  • Collaborating with inventory and production control teams during stocktaking and overseeing workflow through the manufacturing process.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient experience with MRP/ERP/SAP systems or comparable platforms.
  • Experience in placing and reviewing purchase orders while updating supplier and customer data.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
