Job Description

Job Title: Directorate Support Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Directorate Support Manager to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will provide operational and business management support to the Directorate, working closely with the Directorate Manager, Clinical Director, and Matrons.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational management alongside the Directorate Manager, working in partnership with Clinical leads and the Matron to ensure the Directorate and its services meet quality, activity, and financial targets.
  • Assist in the planning, objective-setting, and change management within the Directorate and the Division as a whole.
  • Manage staff, projects, complaints, performance, and budgets.
  • Demonstrate a proven record of proactive management to achieve key performance targets and experience in managing and responding to a range of operational issues.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Evidence of health service management experience.
  • Previous NHS management experience, including developing business cases, managing staff, managing projects, managing complaints, budget management, and experience of leading and achieving change in a complex environment.

Working Environment:

The successful candidate will be based at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and will be required to travel across the county.
