About the Role

Peregrine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Hardware Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for formulating and optimizing innovative hardware engineering solutions for our cutting-edge products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute complex hardware design tasks in accordance with the hardware development plan, meeting agreed timescales and allocated budgets.
  • Conduct hardware requirements capture, preliminary design, detailed design, and analysis tasks.
  • Adopt an innovative approach to design and identify improvements to working practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Coach and develop the skills of junior team members.
  • Deliver design artefacts in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Work with other disciplines within an integrated team.
Requirements
  • Degree/HND in electronics engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven working knowledge and experience of digital &/or analogue electronics technologies.
  • Experience of working through the engineering development lifecycle, from concept to product certification.
  • Capable of providing robust engineering judgement in all phases of the engineering development lifecycle.
  • Robust understanding of product design and work package control.
Desirable Skills
  • Working knowledge of Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise.
  • Analogue simulations tools, e.g. Simetrix or Spice.
  • Timing designer tools, e.g. Chronology.
  • Signal integrity tools and principles.
  • System development tools, e.g. Enterprise Architect, Matlab, Simulink.
  • Requirements management tools, e.g. DOORS.
