Position Overview

Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust is enhancing its Resourcing Department and is excited to present a range of opportunities within the team.

We are seeking an Interim Staffing Coordinator to join our Temporary Staffing Team on a fixed-term contract, working 26 hours per week.

The successful candidate will support the Team Lead in delivering a comprehensive, high-quality temporary staffing and advisory service to all users of the Department, operating seven days a week throughout the year.

  • 26 hours per week.
  • Availability for weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve sourcing personnel to fill shifts by utilizing the processes within the Department, engaging with our pool of bank workers, and coordinating with Agency Workers. You will be responsible for responding to calls and addressing workforce inquiries and messages promptly and courteously.

In collaboration with the Temporary Staffing Officer, you will assist the Team Lead in completing Agency Worker processes and compiling data for reporting purposes.

Daily tasks will include general administrative duties such as filing, printing, shredding, and photocopying relevant to the team.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Minimum of GCSE level education or equivalent experience.
  • ECDL qualification or equivalent experience.

Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience in processing high volumes of bookings on a Rostering system or similar.
  • Proficient in using various software applications commonly utilized in an office setting.
  • Experience in accurate data entry with a strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with electronic rostering systems.

Knowledge

Essential

  • Solid understanding of Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Knowledge of NHS temporary staffing processes and protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to appropriately update and inform managers and staff in line with temporary staffing processes.
  • Capability to perform scanning, copying, and general administrative tasks to a consistently high standard.
