Job Title: Software Engineer

Job Summary:

Williams Racing is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Vehicle Performance team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining bespoke software tools to support our racing car development programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software tools to optimize on-track car performance and contribute to car development programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complete software solutions within a rapid timeframe.
  • Develop tools to facilitate data analysis across multiple environments, including track, offline, and driver-in-the-loop simulations.
  • Write well-structured, maintainable code, following and championing coding standards.
  • Learn and adopt new technologies and tools, research, and implement innovative software solutions.
  • Collaborate with other software groups to enhance and develop the shared data platform and services.
  • Provide application support during race weekend events.
  • Contribute to improving software processes within the team.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of developing software following agile or similar working practices.
  • Experience in data science, vehicle dynamics, or computer simulations is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
