About the Role

Arup is a global design and business consulting firm, and we are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Lead to join our team. As a Senior Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading a range of technical tasks, mentoring and supervising more junior staff members, as well as engaging in skills capacity building in technical appraisal across the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project management: lead and manage projects to ensure the production of deliverables to quality, timelines, and within budget.
  • Development and design of fluvial flood risk management solutions: develop and design innovative solutions to reduce flood risk.
  • Managing project teams: coordinate staff resources between projects and support senior management in business and technical development.
  • Technical experience: have experience in FCERM project appraisal, options development, and both outline design and detailed design.
  • Contract administration: have skills in contract administration, project management, and client liaison.
  • Communication: be an excellent communicator with strong technical and financial management skills.
  • Flood risk damages assessment: have experience of flood risk damages assessment and economic appraisal.
  • Hydraulic modelling: have experience in hydraulic modelling and/or hydrology for fluvial flood risk.
  • GIS skills: have GIS skills.
