The Role of a Sous Chef

As a Sous Chef at The Crown Hotel, you will be part of a dynamic team that delivers high-quality food to our guests. Your responsibilities will include supporting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operation, ensuring food safety compliance, and contributing to menu development and team growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes.
  • Train and develop junior kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
  • Passion for food and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment and adapt to changing situations.
