Role Overview:
We are seeking a Investment Programme Surveyor to become a vital member of our Investment and Compliance Team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to enhancing the lives of our residents and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Programme Manager in developing capital and revenue investment strategies, focusing on sustainability initiatives.
- Oversee the execution of capital and revenue investment projects from start to finish, ensuring sustainability goals are met.
- Manage the Resident Liaison and Project Officer, ensuring effective communication and project management in line with established frameworks.
- Supervise the Programme Auditor to guarantee timely mobilization and adherence to contractual and budgetary standards.
- Collaborate with consultants and contractors to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of sustainability retrofit projects, adhering to PAS2035 and future quality standards.
- Prepare detailed work specifications and Auto-Cad drawings for contractors, including necessary tender documentation.
Candidate Profile:
The successful applicant will possess a degree in Building Surveying or a related field and hold membership in RICS, CIOB, or an equivalent body, along with a NEBOSH or Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification.
Required Experience:
- Proven track record in managing major works programmes within social housing or a related sector.
- Expertise in budget management and addressing financial discrepancies.
- Ability to produce comprehensive schedules of work.
- Experience in managing building contracts from inception to completion.
- Knowledge of delivering sustainability retrofit initiatives.
- Strong skills in engaging with residents to provide high-quality services.
- Experience in managing multiple contracts and fostering long-term relationships within a contract management framework.
- Involvement in the procurement and initiation of contracts.
- Experience in leading a dedicated team to deliver customer-focused services.
A solid understanding of contract law, health and safety regulations, and compliance with statutory and best practice standards is essential.
