Financial Director

Location: Fully office based in Birmingham (no hybrid working available)
Summary of Role
You will oversee the collection, analysis and consolidation of financial data to ensure the effective management of H&K Fire Engineering finances. You will play a pivotal role in the maintenance of financial controls, processes and systems and ensure that these are in line with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the board of directors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws and financial reporting requirements.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a similar industry or sector.
- A strong understanding of financial systems, processes, and controls.
