About the Position

Global Energy Group is seeking a skilled Marketing Specialist to support the growth and success of its businesses. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and executing marketing activities, with a focus on digital media and social media management. The Marketing Specialist will also support the production and delivery of marketing and communications content for Global Port Services and other businesses within the Group portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Develop and manage compelling and relevant content for various marketing channels, including social media posts, website news posts, press releases, and general marketing materials.
  • Social Media Management: Oversee social media accounts, creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and growing audiences on these channels. Tailor content specifically for audiences across platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Digital Advertising: Plan, execute, and manage paid digital advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other relevant channels.
  • Website Optimisation & SEO: Regularly update and optimise website content for improved user experience and search engine rankings.
  • Event Management: Support in organising and promoting events, such as job fairs, exhibitions, and conferences. Collaborate with the wider team to develop engaging content and materials.
  • Analytical Reporting: Generate regular reports on digital marketing performance, including website traffic, social media engagement, and email campaign metrics. Use data insights to make recommendations for optimising marketing strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the recruitment teams, People & Culture, and other internal departments to align marketing efforts with business objectives. Manage work with external agencies as needed for content production, digital marketing tools, and event logistics.
  • Administration Support: Assist the wider Marketing team with administrative tasks, including the creation of purchase orders, managing invoices, ordering business cards, and other administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of marketing activities.

Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in Marketing, with a focus on digital media and social media management.
  • Strong experience in content creation, bringing creative thinking and the ability to generate engaging content.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including content management/scheduling systems, social media management tools, and analytics tools.
  • Understanding of website optimisation and SEO.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset.
