About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our care team at Nazareth Care Charitable Trust. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and participate in the delivery of care to residents, ensuring a safe and effective care service is maintained.
  • Support and work closely with families and friends, offering professional and emotional support, sensitive to individual needs.
  • Administer prescribed medication to residents, following the home's policy and procedure.
  • Lead, motivate, and support care staff, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Be responsible for the preparation, implementation, review, and update of all residents' care plans, in line with their personal wishes and preferences.
  • Establish effective liaison with other healthcare professionals, such as GPs, District Nurses, Physiotherapy, and Hospitals.
About You

You will be responsible for leading the care team, ensuring a safe, effective, and efficient care service is maintained, which meets the needs of our residents. You will ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used.

We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team, effectively supervise individuals and a team, and has a good understanding of the needs of our residents. You will ideally hold a NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults) and have experience at that level or be willing to undertake the Level 3 qualification.
