Job Description

Electrical Network Manager


This is an exciting opportunity to join Set2Recruit as an Electrical Network Manager, working with a growing team in the electrification space. Our client guides companies on their net zero journey by streamlining connections, crafting energy strategies, and delivering comprehensive energy solutions.


Responsibilities:


  1. Managing the grid connection process with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs) is at the heart of this role.
  2. Assisting with tech-enabled grid control systems and exploring innovative solutions.
  3. Designing LV and HV electricity networks (private DNOs) using WINDEBUT, IPSA, and other software.
  4. Analyzing electricity networks for connections applications, including self-determination of point of connection for LV and 11kV connections.
  5. Creating and maintaining relationships internally and with customers, DNOs, IDNOs, and ICP drawings and applications to DNOs and IDNOs for connection offers.
  6. Assisting the ICP tender process.


Key criteria:


Candidates must demonstrate compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ENA, DNO, and IDNO standards, ensuring quality standards are met.


Required experience:

  1. Vast experience in LV and HV electrical distribution network design.
  2. NERS design approval experience with DNO, IDNO ICP.
  3. Experience using WinDebut, IPSA, ELEK cable, HV, SafeGrid.
  4. A self-starter attitude, not requiring direct supervision.

Extensive knowledge of the connections processes and associated standards (CCCMS, ECCR, etc).


This role focuses on LV and HV distribution network design rather than building electrical installations subject to BS7671.
