Unlock Your Potential as a Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at BAM Building. As a key member of our building team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on contractual matters, including general and project-level issues.
  • Process contractual claims and associated records in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce costs, and investigate losses to ensure optimal project outcomes.
  • Assist with project cash management, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Provide commercial and contractual support to project teams, including negotiation and agreement of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure final accounts are closed in a timely manner, and draft commercial/contractual correspondence as required.
  • Prepare and review monthly cost reports, and ensure risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time tracker sheets are reviewed and updated monthly.
  • Negotiate subcontractors' and suppliers' final accounts, and variations, including measurement and pricing.
What We're Looking For
  • A professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • Proven extensive experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role on construction projects.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to work on large-scale, high-headcount construction sites and sub-contractors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to liaise with internal stakeholders and client representatives.
  • A strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site.
  • Ability to use time productively, maximise efficiency, and meet challenging work goals.
