We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our E&M Division on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering mechanical maintenance, refurbishment, and new installation works, including testing and pre-commissioning activities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Identify equipment on site and organize site service work.
  • Carry out site surveys and produce reports.
  • Diagnose breakdown problems and report.
  • Work with Project Engineers to identify parts and repairs required.
  • Develop maintenance strategies to support installation and commissioning.
  • Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment.
  • Responsible for assembly, testing, and recording results.
  • Detail methods, materials, and components required for repairs.
  • Conduct quality inspections on the job.
  • Identify problematic plant and faults.
  • Use computerized systems to oversee routine maintenance and organize repairs.
  • Participate in finding efficient solutions to return equipment to working order.
  • Contribute to risk assessment, COSHH assessment, and health and safety issues.
  • Interpret RAMS and prepare daily TSRA's.
  • Work safely as part of a team.
  • Provide information and on-site support for WGM teams.
  • Assist interdepartmental teams as required.
  • Understand planning and scheduling of work processes.
  • Liaise with team and client site operations staff.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a recognized apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering and relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent. A full UK driver's license is also required.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of previous mechanical engineering experience, preferably in the waste water sector or industrial sectors. Excellent technical skills and the ability to work as a team player are essential.
