Electrical Engineer - E&M Specialist

WGM Engineering is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our E&M division as a Fixed Wire Testing Professional. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing electrical installations on Scottish Water assets, identifying and rectifying faults, and ensuring compliance with electrical regulations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electrical installations
  • Swiftly and comprehensively fault-find and rectify problems
  • Carry out remedial works and ensure electrical compliance
  • Deliver electrical certification using NAPIT software
  • Interpret RAMS and prepare daily briefings
  • Ensure CP (Competent Person) status in line with WGM ESR's
Requirements:
  • Team player with knowledge of safe systems of work
  • ECS card (essential)
  • Experience of Scottish Water and/or industrial background (desirable)
  • Experience in inspection and testing
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 Test and Inspection qualification (desirable)
  • Driving Licence (essential)
  • Basic IT skills, Outlook, Excel, Word

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years previous experience in an electrical engineering background, with excellent technical skills and the ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative. A full UK driving license is required for this role.
