Pure Resourcing Solutions is seeking a seasoned Purchasing Manager to join our team based in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, permanent role that requires working on-site full-time. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be part of a small team responsible for the procurement of materials, goods, and services for the organization, ensuring the best cost, cash, quality, and service are achieved.

  • Build and maintain key internal stakeholder relationships
  • Procure a portfolio of materials, goods, or services within a category
  • Identify and collaborate with suppliers
  • Analyze and act upon market intelligence
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain purchasing records, supplier data, and procurement contracts
  • Monitor and forecast inventory, determine purchasing needs, and identify costs
  • Maintain raw material expenditure % to manufactured sales within agreed target levels
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders as necessary
  • Minimize risk to continuity of supply by conducting supplier risk assessments for the portfolio's suppliers and implementing corrective actions as required
  • Ensure supply agreements are based on formal legal terms and conditions
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements for the role:

  • Extensive procurement experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Task-focused and organized
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability
  • Strong team player
  • CIPS qualified is desired, but not essential
