About Our Housing & Homelessness Services

A secure home is the foundation for a fulfilling life. We assist individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of it, offering specialized accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, and young people.

To us, accommodation means more than just a roof over one’s head; it represents a welcoming and nurturing environment that allows individuals to feel at ease and grow. About the Role

This position focuses on supporting Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC), aged 16 and 17, in developing their independence and preparing for adulthood while ensuring their safety in a caring environment. If you are passionate about achieving positive outcomes for young people and have experience in direct engagement with them, including support planning, child protection, risk assessment, and housing management, we would like to hear from you.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to be part of this innovative team. You will assist young people in overcoming the interconnected challenges that lead them to seek our services and help them thrive.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys supporting young individuals, providing guidance, and sharing best practices to ensure that all young people receive the high-quality support they deserve.

You will be part of a new team of support workers dedicated to ensuring that young people accessing our services receive optimal support while also fostering a supportive environment among colleagues. You will receive comprehensive training on all aspects of the role and participate in regular reflective practice and case management reviews with the entire team. Frequent one-on-one sessions will be available for sharing positive experiences and addressing any challenges you may encounter. A thorough induction into Changing Lives and our services will also be provided.

The primary focus of your role will be to assist our young people in developing their independent living skills, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives. Empowering our young individuals to enhance their life skills is a priority, achieved through workshops and referrals to external agencies when necessary.
