About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Category Sales Manager to join our team at Westland Horticulture Ltd. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will play a crucial role in driving profitable sales and market share growth across our diverse range of customers.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse and interpret a broad range of data sources, including market research and sales data, to identify key insights and trends.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet retailer requirements and drive business growth.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure the right range and activation in store to grow our share and presence in store.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders to drive collaborative partnerships and business growth.
  • Measure, record, and report on key performance indicators, including sales data and market share.
  • Utilize space planning tools to create data-driven planograms that maximize opportunities to drive volume, sales, and profitability.
  • Work across multiple projects and categories to deliver results within agreed time frames.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in category management or retail commercial management, with a strong understanding of the FMCG, General Merchandise, or Retail sectors.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with intermediate to advanced PowerPoint skills also beneficial.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to recognize performance indicators and present findings with action recommendations.
  • Proven ability to analyse and interpret complex data to inform business decisions.
  • Embraces change and is always looking for ways to improve business performance.
