About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our Primary Care Medicines Management Team as a Prescribing Adviser. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of pharmacists and technicians, supporting GP practices and Neighbourhood Networks across Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on safe, evidence-based, and cost-effective prescribing practices within GP practices.
- Monitor and advise on prescribing expenditure, identifying opportunities to reduce costs.
- Support the implementation of the ABUHB Medicines Management Strategy and work programme.
- Collaborate with GPs, practice nurses, and secondary care clinicians to improve prescribing practices.
Requirements
- Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
