Job Description

The Senior Architect will play a key role in analyzing, developing, and crafting the Voice Core Network Architecture. They will produce technical steers and artefacts that are both effective and efficient, increasing business benefits and customer needs in the most cost-effective way to resolve complex and challenging business requirements.

You will be responsible for producing integrated high-level architectures across network components to support major new network architecture, capabilities, and services, ensuring sound design, resilience, robustness, and customer impact thinking and longer-term future requirements have been taken into account.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop the Voice Core Network Architecture, ensuring it meets business and customer needs.
  • Produce technical steers and artefacts that are both effective and efficient.
  • Develop and maintain high-level architectures across network components.
  • Ensure sound design, resilience, robustness, and customer impact thinking in the architecture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the architecture meets business and customer needs.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in the end-to-end design of major network service implementations.
  • Demonstrable ability to interface and operate in detailed technical environments with OLO/Partner networks.
  • Extensive knowledge of cellular networks and networking principles (UMTS&GSM).
  • Proven track record in producing accurate and complete technical requirements specifications.
  • Extensive knowledge of signaling and signaling protocols.
Desirable Skills
  • Understanding of data center solutions, including virtualization and cloud technologies.
  • Understanding of traffic and switching theory.
  • Understanding of Radio theory and principles.
  • Understanding of IP/MPLS networks.
