Senior Network Architect

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Architect to join our team at Virgin Media O2. As a key member of our network architecture team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing major network service implementations, ensuring that our network infrastructure meets the highest standards of performance, reliability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop end-to-end network architectures for major network service implementations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network components and services.
- Develop and maintain accurate and complete technical requirements specifications, ensuring clarity and conformance with infrastructure vendors.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and standards, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our network architecture.
Requirements
- Proven experience in end-to-end network design and implementation, with a strong understanding of cellular networks, networking principles, and signaling protocols.
- Extensive knowledge of data center solutions, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
- Understanding of traffic and switching theory, radio theory, and principles, and IP/MPLS networks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
