About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Staff Nurse to join our team at Nuffield Health Barts Hospital. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for leading by example and being an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring. You will also be expected to recognize talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be.
Main Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students
- Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training
- Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient's needs
- Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care
- Registered with the appropriate governing body and hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC
- Post-registration experience with knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures
Nuffield Health Barts Hospital is the City of London's only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew's NHS hospital. This is our flagship center for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynecology, and urology services. Our hospital consists of 55 beds, including 7 specialist intensive care beds, four advanced digital operating theatres, and a full diagnostic imaging suite.
