Job Summary
Marshalls PLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Management Accountant to join our dynamic Process, Risk, and Control (PRC) team. As a Trainee Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial accounts, supporting the PRC team through month-end, and contributing to the monthly and quarterly pricing, matching of invoices, and lease control.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial accounts, including reconciliations and stock valuations.
- Support the PRC team through month-end, including preparing and reviewing financial reports.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial processes and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial models and forecasts.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including department heads and site managers.
- Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and industry developments.
Requirements
- Actively studying CIMA, ACCA, or AAT and a strong desire to pursue a career in financial management.
- Previous experience in financial control or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of financial software and systems, including AX Dynamics/D365 or similar.
