Job Description

As a Pharmacy Dispenser - Medical Cannabis Specialist, you will be working in a specialist private pharmacy, supporting the supply of CMBP (Cannabis-Based Products for Medical Use) in a specialist private pharmacy.

This is a niche role in a growing area, and the successful candidate will be working alongside specialist Clinical Pharmacists to make CMBP more accessible for all patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and validating prescriptions ready for a clinical check.
  • Processing patient information appropriately.
  • Supporting the Responsible Pharmacist & Technicians in the daily operations of the pharmacy.
  • Being the first point of contact for any queries to the pharmacy.
  • Maintaining relevant records for the supply of CMBP.
  • Maintaining stock and security of any CMBP on site.
  • Maintaining communication of prescription to the Department of Health to meet Regulatory Requirements.
  • Supporting governance in the pharmacy to ensure the pharmacy is operating as safely as possible.
Requirements
  • A UK qualified Pharmacy dispenser.
  • Ideal experience in working in the pharmacy dispensary either primary and/or secondary environment.
  • Self-motivated individual with high levels of attention to detail, able to work accurately, identifying errors quickly and easily.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Professional, ethical, and committed to providing excellent customer care.
  • Excellent computer literacy with good working knowledge of office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
