Head of Fundraising & Communications

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Fundraising & Communications to lead our charity's income generation and brand awareness strategy. This pivotal role will focus on sustainable long-term income streams and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to diversify and grow income streams across corporates, individuals, trusts, and foundations.
  • Oversee the fundraising & communication strategy to increase brand awareness and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the fundraising and communications team, ensuring objectives and budgets are met.
  • Cultivate new opportunities and relationships with supporters to increase engagement and support fundraising strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with funders and legal requirements, including Data Protection and Fundraising regulations.
  • Oversee marketing and communications, building the charity's profile and increasing fundraising income.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Strategic Management Team to align fundraising efforts with organisational development plans.
  • Manage departmental budgets, contracts, and resources, ensuring proper organisational expenditure.
  • Lead and manage the development of team members, fostering a culture of contribution and engagement.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience developing and delivering a multi-stream fundraising strategy with targets of £1m+.
  • Strong strategic planning and brand management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce fundraising and communications strategies.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to provide collaborative leadership and develop professional relationships at all levels.
