Job Title: Charity Community Fundraiser

Join our team at Disability Arts as a Charity Community Fundraiser, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Development team to raise over £3.5 million annually through fundraising. This includes a concurrent £19.25m capital campaign.

As a Charity Community Fundraiser, you will efficiently manage the day-to-day running of The Old Vic's individual giving scheme, reporting to the Head of Individual Giving and working with the Individual Giving Officer to implement and carry out a yearly strategic plan to retain and increase support across all levels of Membership and wider areas of giving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to developing a strategic plan for individual giving, including Membership, small to medium-sized donations across all giving channels.
  • Assume responsibility for The Old Vic's philanthropic individual giving Membership scheme, OV Together.
  • Retain and increase support by delivering excellent stewardship, including delivery of benefits and events, and communication with donors.
  • Generate and convert new donor prospects to meet and exceed agreed annual individual giving targets of c. £1.25 million to contribute to the overall Development team target.
  • Line manage the Individual Giving Officer, monitoring key performance indicators and objectives to ensure that targets are met.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable track record of successfully managing an individual giving scheme.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently and with initiative.
  • Confident dealing with a range of stakeholders and diverse relationship management.
  • Excellent administration skills, including financial record keeping and fundraised income.
  • A friendly and professional attitude, able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Gift Aid.
  • Outstanding administration and organisation skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and pivot when time-sensitive tasks arise.
  • A collaborative approach to working in a small, busy team.
  • Robust knowledge of CRM/fundraising databases (Tessitura is an advantage).


About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Development team at Disability Arts as a Charity Community Fundraiser. You will be responsible for managing the individual giving scheme, developing a strategic plan, and delivering excellent stewardship to retain and increase support.

As a Charity Community Fundraiser, you will work closely with the Head of Individual Giving and the Individual Giving Officer to implement and carry out a yearly strategic plan. You will also be responsible for line managing the Individual Giving Officer and monitoring key performance indicators and objectives.

We are looking for a candidate with a demonstrable track record of successfully managing an individual giving scheme. You should have meticulous attention to detail and be able to work independently and with initiative. You should also be confident dealing with a range of stakeholders and have excellent administration skills, including financial record keeping and fundraised income.
