About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Multidisciplinary team at Gainsford House, a mental health rehabilitation unit. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health conditions to develop their skills and confidence in everyday tasks, manage their mental health, and access the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct specialized assessments based on the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) to identify goals important to clients and develop interventions to facilitate their achievement.
  • Work closely with the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to ensure excellent communication and coordination of care.
  • Document and feedback on interventions to track client progress and share the role of Occupational Therapist within the team.
  • Participate in supervision to identify future learning opportunities and contribute to the development of the service.
  • Establish communication networks with family, carers, other services within the Trust, and the community to support client recovery.
