The Site Reliability Engineering team at Neo4j is responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of our DBaaS product, Neo4j Aura. Our team operates at scale, managing hundreds of Kubernetes clusters across multiple cloud providers.

We're seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team and help us transform our SRE function. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring systems. They will be responsible for defining SLIs, reducing toil through automation, and applying software engineering principles to solve operational problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement SLIs for key software components
  • Reduce toil through automation and process improvements
  • Monitor applications for success and identify areas for improvement
  • Debug large and complex cloud-based systems
  • Deploy and manage applications running on Kubernetes
  • Work with observability systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements
Requirements
  • Strong background in software engineering and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience with monitoring systems and observability tools
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
