About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Fourier. As a key member of our Site Reliability Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing tools and processes to enhance the reliability and resilience of our production systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to streamline manual processes and improve system reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement configuration management solutions using tools like Chef, Ansible, and Puppet
  • Investigate and resolve system failures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
  • Design and implement monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Grafana and Nagios to ensure timely detection and response to system issues
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Site Reliability Engineering, sharing knowledge and expertise with the team to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Excellent Python scripting skills and experience with version control best practices
  • Good knowledge of configuration management and business/process automation
  • Experience with UNIX or Linux systems and a strong understanding of system resilience and reliability
