Project People is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager - Fixed Assets to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for supporting the fixed assets team in managing the audit process, gathering and providing audit information, and resolving any issues raised.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in audit and financial accounting, with experience in managing teams of qualified and non-qualified accountants. They will be responsible for ensuring that accounting treatments are in accordance with accounting standards.
The key deliverables for this role include:
Audit- Developing and delivering a plan for significant aspects of audit control, with guidance from senior colleagues and liaison with external auditors.
- Identifying shortcomings, suggesting improvements, and implementing approved revisions to current compliance processes, systems, and procedures within assigned unit and/or discipline.
- Identifying and evaluating complex expertise-led solutions against a range of criteria to find the ones that best meet business needs.
- Taking responsibility for implementing a team's formal development framework, with guidance from senior colleagues, while informally coaching others throughout the organization in their area of expertise.
- Making authoritative technical and/or professional recommendations that have a significant short-term and long-term impact on the business.
- Managing the development and/or operation of significant aspects of the data management system, with guidance from senior colleagues.
