Finance Officer

At People Project, we are seeking a highly skilled Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating our financial reporting processes, including shareholder reporting and audit activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate financial reporting processes, including shareholder reporting and audit activities.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards and Cornerstone accounting policies.
  • Lead on company's corporation tax returns and accounting policies.
  • Review reconciliations and ensure format and content is suitable.
  • Secure required approvals for balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and Cornerstone accounting policies.
  • Lead finance improvement projects and maintain balance sheet risks & opportunities schedule.
  • Provide monthly commentary on balance sheet movements and analysis of moves.
  • Coordinate intercompany reconciliation process.
Requirements:
  • Experience of leading financial reporting processes, including preparation of final TBs and reporting of results for management review.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
  • Development, implementation and maintenance of financial controls.
  • Familiarity with finance systems and audit management experience.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and relevant degree (e.g. business, finance, economics).
  • Proficient in Excel and completion of reporting templates.
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time, fixed-term contract.
  • Work from home, Monday to Friday.
  • Accounting experience: 3 years (required).
  • Microsoft Excel experience: 3 years (required).
